Being blind may have been better

The other day we went to Costa Nova, which is a beach community in Aveiro or on the edge of Aveiro. It was a lovely lovely day. This below is a picture of one of the houses. The houses here are a bit nicer than the ones in the city. It's a fairly expensive place to live but it does bring in a lot of tourists during the right time of year.



This is the boardwalk going onto the beach. Isn't it just wonderful? The sand was softer here than the other beach we went to a couple of days ago. The water was colder though. I collected some rocks (and the person that collects rocks knows that they are for her) and some sea shells. I was attacked by a wave...it was a great white wave. It is one of the most dangerous waves in the world...okay it wasn't and it just snuck up on me. Of course I had my butt to the sea...never turn your butt on the sea. LOL



This picture is of course of me and the beach. After it was taken, we started up the sand to return to the car. That is when I saw them. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at at first. Was it a man with no shirt and flabby boobs or was it....dum dum dum dum dummmmm...a topless woman? Sure enough, it was. I tried to divert my eyes only to find a SECOND topless woman. It was the worst horror movie of my life!!! This is my warning to ALL, if you have ever thought about tanning topless, may I advise you not to do it. Tanned nipples are UGLY. It wasn't a pleasant moment for me. I nearly passed out...I thought I'd have to have CPR or go to the hospital. Luckily, I was able to find a place in the sand to look that wasn't covered in tanning nipplage.

I should have put this picture above by the house, oh well. If you cross the street from the house (it's a two lane road with wide sidewalks on each side) you have this sidewalk. The houses face the harbor side and this is where this sidewalk is. It's completely lined with Palm trees...or palm bushes. Whatever they are.
